simply lovely...is this flower at its peak or is this on the way out?

Beautiful photo. I've never seen anything like that.

@Photo cache
Not at its peak. The petals extend outward..but this plant is very delicate. The petals droop after a while.

@dot
thanks. Now you have. I do have a propensity for phorographing flowers. Hang tight.

I just LOVE this one!

You caught this at a very special moment. The common name is coneflower here in the U.S.

@everyone,

thanks for all the appreciation. I am really busy with the job that actually pays, but I promise to reply to everyone tomorrow.

the popularity of this picture has ensured that there will be another echinacea coming up sometime in the near future.

Beauty, at times, intrigues us!
and we are forced (ah,what a slender provocation) to italicize our stay with beautiful things that define us "infinity" time and again

I am too jostled and spent to speak about this beauty, as I am still basing in the luxurious spell of leisure, the flower has put me into...

@Luke
thanks

@don
glad you liked it.

@Ash
I still like my buds better. More flowers coming up.

@Annie
I think Echinacea is a more romantic name for it than coneflower. But it is a special moment captured.

@Zeekat
welcome and thanks

@jyotsnay
i am glad teh flower was able to put you at leisure.

@Moi
Now that this flower has gotton so popular, I should have taken more pictures. I have a few more though.

This is GORGEOUS! GREAT detail.

Do you have any pictures of the OLD Jacksonville Pier before it was swept away?

How about St. Augustine, I know that's not Jacksonville.

Anything Old, Old buildings in Jacksonville?
